Two progressive skill tests / progressive
theory tests are compulsory as per MSBTE norms. The tests
shall be assessed on five-point scale (poor, average, good,
very good and excellent) on following parameters of ability:
1. Planning for assignment and recalling previous knowledge
2. Observation and measurements
3. Interpretation and judgement
4. Application and calculation
5. Written, verbal and/or non-verbal communication.
The student shall also be assessed continuously for sincerity,
punctuality and discipline along with the understanding of
facts, principles, theories and application.
The term work and presentation shall be assessed on five-point
scale (poor, average, good, very good and excellent) on following
parameters of performance:
1. Attendance
2. Accuracy
3. Neatness & Composition
4. Completion
5. Working in team and individually.
The practical examination shall be based on the ability of
practical conduct; critical analysis; application of specific
skill; solution and completion level of the work. The viva-voce
examination shall be based on following the parameters of
ability:
1. Conceptual understanding
2. Selective justification and the procedural accuracy.
3. Decision making in a given situation and/or individual
experiences.
4. Applications of principles and procedures.
Attendance record and record of the assessment shall be maintained
with Principal/Academic coordinator and will be made available
to the parent/guardian on a formal written request. The Sessional
work, Term work and the oral assessment shall be as per the
MSBTE norms and are mandatory for eligibility for the final
examination.As per the MSBTE norms, the cumulative result
of the Progressive Tests as well as the Oral, Sessional and/or
Term work generates the calibre gradation of the student.
Students are assessed with a built-in possibility and opportunity
for improvement.
